ASE Jet-Z Proofed Sound Moderator

The Ase Utra jet-Z™ COMPACT is a high-performance suppressor designed for centrefire rifles.

Manufactured in Finland by Ase Utra OY, the jet-Z™ COMPACT suppressors incorporate Ase Utra's patented jet-Z™ baffle system. The moderator is manufactured out of steel and designed for hunting, sport shooting or professional use on bolt-action or semi-automatic rifles. It is slim enough to be used with low mounted telescopic or iron sights and the moderator significantly reduces recoil and muzzle flash.

Weight:493 to 514 grams.

Dimensions: 177-185mm long, 40mm in diameter, 155mm added to the length of the rifle.

Noise Reduction: 25 to 32 dB (depending on ammunition type, calibre, measurement location etc.).

Calibres

.22 Cal - Suitable for calibres that shoot a .224 or less diameter projectile including .17 Rem, .17 Hornet, .204, .222, .223, .22-250, .220 Swift, Etc.

.25 Cal - Suitable for calibres that shoot a .257 or less diameter projectile including .17 Rem, .17 Hornet, .204, .222, .223, .22-250, .220 Swift, .243, .25-06, Etc.

.30 Cal - Suitable for calibres that shoot a .311 or less diameter projectile including .243, .25-06, 6.5x55, 6.5 Creedmoor, .270, .308, .30-06, 303, .300 Win Mag, Etc.

The closer the diameter of the baffles in a sound moderator is to the calibre being shot, the more effective the moderator is, for example a .25 Cal sound moderator is quieter on a .243 than a .30 Cal sound moderator. On the downside it is possible for bullets to clip moderators if they are not aligned perfectly and can also get turbulence which can open up the group size, this is less likely to occur with more space between the bullet and baffles.
