ASE Utra NorthStar Proofed Sound Moderator

The Ase Utra NorthStar are a robust and effective suppressor designed for centrefire rifles.

Manufactured in Finland by Ase Utra OY, NorthStar suppressors are manufactured out of 300 series stainless steel for longevity. The sound moderator significantly reduces recoil and muzzle flash.

These sound moderators can be sprayed black with stove paint if desired.

Weight: 660 to 700 grams.

Dimensions: 198mm long, 47.5mm in diameter, 100mm added to the length of the rifle.

Noise Reduction: 22 to 26 dB (depending on ammunition type, calibre, measurement location etc.).

Calibres

.25 Cal - Suitable for calibres that shoot a .257 or less diameter projectile including .17 Rem, .17 Hornet, .204, .222, .223, .22-250, .220 Swift, .243, .25-06, Etc.

.30 Cal - Suitable for calibres that shoot a .311 or less diameter projectile including .243, .25-06, 6.5x55, 6.5 Creedmoor, .270, .308, .30-06, 303, .300 Win Mag, Etc.

The closer the diameter of the baffles in a sound moderator is to the calibre being shot, the more effective the moderator is, for example a .25 Cal sound moderator is quieter on a .243 than a .30 Cal sound moderator. On the downside it is possible for bullets to clip moderators if they are not aligned perfectly and can also get turbulence which can open up the group size, this is less likely to occur with more space between the bullet and baffles.
