The R12 CLX rifle uses BSA's new mono-block side lever system which has been further refined from what they have learned from the Ultra CLX. Two 12-shot magazines are included with the rifle which feature shot countdown windows, while having a 200cc cylinder with an air capacity of approximately 250 shots in .177 and 280 shots in .22 calibre, allowing for extended shooting sessions. Please note that super carbine version has a slightly lower estimated shot count at 140 shots in .177 and 215 shots in .22 calibre. This has been achieved by implementing a newly designed high performance regulator to maximise air efficiency. Finally the trigger is fully adjustable for length, lateral, and radial positions, helping make the R12 comfortable for any shooter with varying hand sizes or length of pull.
The cold hammer forged barrel is moderated using BSA's 'CCS shroud' silencer system, to keep sound reduction at a maximum while keeping the weight to a minimum.
The quick fill port dust cover snaps in place magnetically to prevent any dust or debris from blocking the fill port and being blown into the air rifle during refilling.
