Air Rifle Scopes

A large selection of air rifle scopes that parallax from just 10 yards allowing users to obtain a nice clear image even when close to the target and using high levels of magnification. Many scopes advertised as air rifle scopes are not best suited to airgun use as they have a 100 yard fixed parallax, this makes them useable at normal airgun distances circa 25 yards when set at the lower 3x and 4x magnification levels but at higher levels of magnification users find they can only get either the reticle or target in focus and it is impossible to get both clear for best accuracy and ease of use; there is also a good amount of parallax error on the scope which will open up group sizes changing the point of impact depending on where the shooters mount each shot. Variable parallax often referred to Adjustable Objective (AO) allows the scope to be focussed and parallaxed in at different ranges ensuring both the reticle and target are in focus and clear at whatever distance you are shooting at, dialling in the parallax also reduces / totally removes parallax error ensuring the point of impact will not move even when the shooter has an inconsistent mount which most of us do. Parallax is adjusted by rotating the wheel around the objective lens on cheaper scopes, higher end scopes often feature side parallax adjustment making it easier to see what distance the scope is parallaxed at a glance and alter it if required whilst not having to dismount the rifle.

Alongside an increase in the image and build quality, higher end scopes often have additional features such as ballistic turrets allowing them to be quickly dialled in when shooting over different distances, illuminated reticles ensuring that the reticle can be easily seen against darker backgrounds and targets & in poorer lighting conditions, side parallax for quicker and easier parallax adjustment and 30mm tubes instead of standard 1" tubes to maximise the amount elevation adjustment available for longer range shooting.
